01 / Challenge

The problem

Core business functions were running in separate systems that did not share data. Finance, payroll, procurement and asset management each held their own version of the same records, so consolidated reporting had to be assembled manually and governance depended on people remembering to follow a process rather than on the system enforcing it.

02 / Strategy

How we approached it

Rather than replacing every function at once, we established a shared data model first — organisation, people, cost centres and approvals — and built modules onto it in sequence. That way each module launched into a structure that already understood the business, and consolidated reporting worked from the first release.

03 / Architecture

How it is built

A modular platform on one relational core, with role-based access control governing every module. Workflow and approval routing is a platform-level service rather than something re-implemented per module, which is what makes the audit trail consistent across finance, HR and procurement.

06 / Outcome

Where it landed

Finance, HR, procurement and reporting now operate from one record set with enforced approval routing and a complete audit trail. Executive reporting is generated from live operational data rather than assembled from module exports.

Quantified operational results are available from the client on request and are deliberately not published here.
